This page provides information for about Tundra’s on-call services

If you require Tundra’s on-call services and your organisation has a contractual on-call arrangement with us to deploy to your workplace please note the following information:

– Our on-call phone numbers are (249) 220-0292 [first number to call] and (249) 220-0348 [second number to call]. These numbers will put you in touch with our designated Team Supervisor or back-up.

If there is no response from these number – after giving reasonable time to respond, and more than one attempt, please call the general office number (705) 428 0544.

– It is ok to send an Instant Message to inform / warn our on-call teams in advance of a call, that they may receive a call shortly, (for example, as an advance warning) but every deployment must  be confirmed by a voice call, but please note that email or other forms of communication such as emails may not be read outside of normal office hours.

– Please be prepared to tell the Supervisor the following information:

  • What is the reason for the call?
  • Who is the Point of Contact overseeing the entry / task and their contact details?
  • Where is the team needed (for example plant #, department, specific space # or name if known)
  • What is the entry and how many entrants will there be?
  • What are the hazards associated with this space? *
  • Are there any designated substances involved?
  • Who will be responsible for Air Monitoring and access to any confined spaces?
  • Anything else you think we should know about?

[* We will do our own Hazard Assessment and Rescue Plan once we arrive onsite but any advance information is most welcome.]

– If not all of this information is fully available at the time of the call please try to maintain communication and share it, when it is known.

– After this call ends our Supervisor will notify the rest of the team that will be deploying, and call back the designated task Point of Contact to let them know the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA).

Thank you for using Tundra Rescue’s services.
